Frequently Asked Questions

These are the most common questions I get asked. If you have additional questions feel free to email me at rebgodin@hotmail.com.

How do I buy an original?

I create as many paintings as possible and release them in collections on my website a few times per year. This will be well advertised before hand via social media, my blog, and mailing list. These paintings tend to go pretty quickly, so be sure to be prompt! Originals will be available by on a first come, first served basis.

Can I pick up my artwork in person?

Absolutely!  You are welcome & encouraged to pick up your original artwork in person at a designated location in Baton Rouge, LA. You may contact me to set up a time and place at rebgodin@hotmail.com. Please note that my studio hours are rather limited, as I am juggling two small children and a very full workload, but we can usually make it work (especially for original paintings!).

Print Quality & Framing

I have my original works professionally photographed by a giclée photographer and/or scanner depending on the size. I personally inspect the colors and details personally before prints are available to you.

All prints are printed and/or framed on premium canvas or art photo paper from Pixels.com: the world's largest art marketplace and print-on-demand technology company. They've been helping artists and iconic brands sell prints, home décor, apparel, and other print-on-demand products since 2006 and have been featured in hundreds of online and offline publications over the past decade. I have personally print tested my work on their canvases, posters, and fine art print mediums and am fully satisfied with their products. Pixels.com offers framing for all wall art and many other print gift products.

Can I commission a painting?

I can only take a few commission pieces per year so please email me at www.rebgodin.com as soon as possible so I can put it on my calendar. I normally try to fit my commission work between collections.

Stockists and Galleries

I am honored you would like my artwork on your walls and in your shop! Gallery owners, please send me an email to discuss your gallery and ideas. rebgodin@hotmail.com

Designers

I love working with designers because I love it when my artwork lives in a fine looking room! I offer designers a discount on Giclée prints. Please email me at rebgodin@hotmail.com so we can set up a specific coupon code for you to use frequently. I do not offer discounts on original paintings nor do I allow my work to be marked up without consent.

Who actually owns the painting?

I retain all rights to all artwork I create. This includes the rights to the image of sold & commissioned original paintings. I retain the right to make reproductions of any and all artwork I create unless the Collector has purchased the full or partial rights to the artwork (this is in addition to purchasing the original).

The Collector or buyer may not reproduce the artwork in any way without written permission.

If the artwork ends up being reproduced in a magazine or other media I only ask for credit (and congratulations! that means your home is super beautiful!).

When you purchase an original painting you, the collector, have the right to display the artwork in your home or business (hooray!) but the artwork may not be resold or reproduced without my written permission.

Please let me know if you are interested in purchasing full or partial rights to your painting.  Some collectors choose to purchase my right to reproduce the artwork to ensure it will never become a print.  I am totally happy to discuss that with you if you would like!

How is my artwork going to be shipped?
Originals:

  • The painting will be shipped within one week of receiving payment.

  • All artwork is professionally wrapped at UPS, padded extremely well, and sent in a well-fitting sturdy cardboard box.

  • Most artwork will ship via UPS and most packages arrive within 2-4 days (domestic) from time of shipping (includes tracking & insurance). International shipments will be sent via USPS, FedEx, or other carriers. International buyers, please note that shipping charges will vary based on your location. Please email me with questions or to get an estimate. You can expect shipping charges to be between $50-$200 or over).

International Shipments

  • Shipping costs are calculated based on package weight and distance. If there is any discrepancy -/+ we will let you know via email.

  • International packages are a bit outside of my control. Boarder fees, duties, and handling fees may be charged by other countries. Tracking is also quite unreliable with international shipments.

Shipping costs cover fees, packaging supplies, time, labor, and storage.

Prints:

All prints, gifts, and other products are shipped by pixels.com and you can communicate directly with them about your order. I have personally tested and selected the best materials specific to my preferences for my artwork. Pixels prints on premium archival canvases and art papers using professional 12-color printers. I highly recommend purchasing prints on canvas or selecting one of these art papers: Archival Matte, Somerset Velvet, Watercolor Paper, or Picture Rag.

You will be extremely satisfied with the quality of your print!
